A major focus of Chamberlain Mechanical Corporation's business has been to facilitate a better design/build mechanical delivery process. Chamberlain Mechanical Corporation (CMC) has provided design/build specifications for use within both a negotiated and a multiple bidder environment. CMC's specifications go far beyond what some people call “scope bidding” by defining the desired level of quality for design, equipment, installation, start-up, and commissioning. CMC can also pre-select a specific HVAC system and even pre-purchase equipment for projects with an expedited construction schedule. CMC's design/build specifications encourage innovation within an established budget and scope of work criteria that matches the building's aesthetics and structural limitations. Client advice in the areas of pre-selecting a mechanical sub-contractor, the mechanical budget, and how best to commission the HVAC or temperature control system is also available.
Mr. Chamberlain has extensive contractor and engineering remodel experience in the replacement of HVAC and plumbing systems. It is Mr. Chamberlain's opinion that remodel projects present some of the most difficult engineering, construction and budgeting challenges. For these reasons CMC believes most remodel projects best fit the GCCM delivery method using a design/build mechanical delivery method.
CMC can also provide experience-based recommendations on LEED and Green Building design programs plus review energy studies, help analyze life-cycle costing decisions, and provide guidance in dealing with utility-based funding programs or ESCO contracts.
